The House System will be used to promote character, academic success, school spirit, a family atmosphere, and a culture of excellence in our school.
The House System will be used as a way to uplift and inspire all students, creating a culture of belonging while eliminating clique culture.
Each Home Room will serve as a House. As founding members, 8th grade students, with the guidance of the faculty advisor, will select a House name. The House name does not change year to year, so the students will carefully select the Saint with whom they want to identify themselves.
Students will be placed into Houses in 6th grade and will remain in that house until 8th grade graduation. Uprising siblings will be placed into the same house if possible, strengthening the relationship between the faculty advisor and the families.
Systems will ensure that house points are awarded fairly. House points are awarded across campus by any faculty or staff member who observes acts of kindness, extra effort, or anything that is deserving of positive reinforcement.
House advisors will be the point person to organize and arrange any team conferences with parents to discuss any academic or behavior concerns, offering consistency and continuity throughout middle school.
