MRS. UPTON'S Biography

I hold a BA in Elementary Education (K-8) from the University of Dallas and a Professional Teaching Certificate in the State of Texas.  I have done graduate work at both the University of North Texas and at East Texas State University.  I taught Junior High in the Irving Independent School District for eleven years before having my own children.  For the past twenty-one years, I have taught pre-kindergarten at Preston Royal Preschool.  I have been the Study Hall Director for eleven years at St. Monica.  I enjoy working with young people of all ages and have been a leader in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  I find that working with young people is both challenging and rewarding.

I am married to Butch Upton and have two grown children, Marty and Sarah, who are St. Monica alums.  I enjoy reading, arts and crafts and spending time with friends and family.
