Miss Gehring’s Biography

I am very excited to begin my third year of teaching here at St. Monica School! Fourth grade is a fun, exciting and challenging year and I feel so blessed to have a role in the students' faith formation and education.  It is a pleasure to work with such an excellent faculty and staff and very supportive families.

I am a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, a Catholic University located in Steubenville, Ohio.  I have a B.S. in Business Administration from FUS as well as a Middle Childhood Education license from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio.  In January 2004  I moved from Akron, OH to Coppell, so I am a Texas transplant!  Last January I moved to Las Colinas (fancy for Irving) and enjoy the shorter commute.  I love living in Texas (especially when the sun is shining in the winter!) and like to do such things as run, sing in the choir, play the piano, swing dance and, of course, play ultimate frisbee.

I have committed my career to the Catholic schools because I believe it is so important to build education upon the faith.  Nothing is more important in this life than our walk with God, and we can do nothing without Him.  It is my hope to work with the whole St. Monica community to build up the body of Christ here at this school to create strong, intelligent, responsible Christian citizens for tomorrow.
