Ms. DeVivo Biography
3rd Grade

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Susan DeVivo and I am blessed with this opportunity to teach at St. Monica Catholic School.

I was born in Schenectady, New York, and attended St. John's Catholic School during my elementary years.  My family moved to Dallas where I attended and graduated from Newman Smith High School.  I continued my education at the University of North Texas, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a Specialty in Reading.

I previously taught 3rd grade at St. Peter's, Math at St. Bernard's, Math and Reading at Holy Trinity, and Senior DECATS at John Paul II.  Part of the DECATS program included a class featuring cooking techniques, ethic foods, and field trips to Central Market to purchase ingredients.

My goal is to enrich our children by creating the acceptance of learning as a life long passion.  The classroom is the beginning of a long journey towards a successful and fulfilling life.  Please feel free to assist me at any time.  My door is always open.

I am looking forward to an important year with your child and look forward to meeting the families at St. Monica's.

God Bless,

Miss DeVivo
