I joined the faculty of St. Monica School  eleven years ago as the school's first counselor on a part-time basis. The following year, the position became full-time. Over the years, the counseling department has changed and grown. We now have an additional full-time counselor and I am once again working on a part-time basis. My primary role is coordinating the school's testing program including new student entrance testing, achievement testing, and ACRE testing. I also coordinate the high school application process for eighth graders.

I have worked in the field of education for over twenty-seven years. My undergraduate degree was in elementary and special education. I received my Master of Education and Guidance Counseling degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette in 1975. My six years of teaching experience ranged from working with grades three through eight. In addition, I was employed as a public school counselor for six years and worked as a university freshman counselor for four years. I have worked in the business sector in the field of human resources and as a private consultant.  I am also a certified bereavement counselor.

My husband Troy and I have been married for thirty-nine years and we have two married children, Rachel Rossler, married to Alex and Ben Cooper, married to Jessica. We are grandparents to Hannah, 10, Jack, 7, and Grant, 2 1/2.  We are expecting our fourth grandchild in March.

During our married life, our family has had the opportunity to live in Louisiana, upstate New York, northern Virginia, and Portland, Oregon. Troy and I have lived in Dallas for eleven years. We both enjoy family traditions and rituals, reading, and traveling. We are members of St. Monica Parish.

I  love working at St. Monica and getting to know its students and parents. Though I am officially only working Monday through Wednesday, I can be contacted at anytime either though voice-mail or my email address.
