Mrs. Brunkhorst Welcome back to another exciting school year at St. Monica. I hope you all had a wonderful summer vacation filled with much family fun. I am looking forward to teaching another year of art to my students. God has blessed me with talented artists and I look forward to sharing their gifts through the visual arts. This year I will be teaching Mrs. Selly's and Miss Ormand's third grade homerooms as well as fourth-sixth grade art classes. I will also be teaching the following seventh and eighth grade exploratory elective classes: Clay, Yearbook and Stage Design. I also over see kindergarten-eighth grade Catholic Schools Week poster contest, third-eighth grade Academic Art Fair competition, fourth-fifth grade PSIA Art Memory competition, sixth-eighth grade PSIA On-Site Drawing competition, seventh & eighth grade musical sets/backdrops and the eighth grade stage crew. I graduated from The University of North Texas with a BFA in Visual Studies/Kindergarten-Twelfth grade Art Education and a minor in Kindergarten-Sixth grade Education. I have been teaching art for several years and love it. On my own time I enjoy drawing, painting, scrapbooking, creating collages and folk art. I especially enjoy teaching and creating artwork with my own children. When I am not teaching or working on school projects, I am having fun with my wonderful husband, children, extended family and friends. |
