October 5, 2007

Hello Everyone,

It’s hard to believe we are already into October, but as the evenings get darker and the weather begins to cool (we hope!), the PTO is excited to be working towards our biggest event of the year – Autumnfest.  This event involves SO many people around the school and parish, and we cannot do it without all of your support.  It is a wonderful day to come spend with your family, enjoying all of the games, food and entertainment, and we hope to see you there!  Please be sure to check the Autumnfest website for more information, and order online with a credit card this year, for the easiest way to enjoy the day.

I’d like to acknowledge the August Volunteers of the Month, Mary & Bill Sladek, for their tireless effords towards making this year’s GAP campaign such a huge success.  Mary is also our Parish/Family Coordinator for the PTO.  Her role is to help remind us to take time from our busy schedules to grow as a family and as a community.  This month we are pleased to offer the first event she will be coordinating.  We will be having Fr. Doug have a “Bless the Animals” event, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, whose Feast Day is this month.  Please look for an announcement of the date soon.

I’d also like to thank Julie Clancy for providing the fun pom-poms for us during Spirit Day, and the Spirit Store ladies, Lisa madden & Karen Brown, for helping us get into the Beacat Spirit last weekend,  as well as Julie Whipple & Christina Neuhoff, for creating a fabulous 8th grade t-shirt, that the 8th graders got to wear for the first time on Spirit Day.

There are lots of exciting things happening at school this month that I’d like to share with you:
