 May 2008

We're almost there!

It's hard to believe how quickly this year has gone by, and at the same time, I know we are all ready for summer!  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve as PTO President this year.  It has been a privilege and an honor to work with so many talented and caring people.  We are all blessed to be part of such a giving community.

I would especially like to thank the people who served this year on the PTO Board. They are all dedicated women and men who have given many hours of their time this year to help make all of our programs such a success.  Thank you to everyone who served on the Executive Board, the Committee Chairs, the Grade Level Reps and the Homeroom parents.  We appreciate all of you!

I'd like to congratulate our April Volunteer of the Month, David Kolling, for all of his dedication and hard work to help make this year's Casino Night a success.  Thank you, David, for all of your efforts on our children's behalf.

We have already begun our May activities, and I am excited to announce that we just had our Volunteer of the Year Mass and Reception yesterday.  This year's Volunteer of the Year winner is truly deserving for having impacted the school in such a lasting way.  Please congratulate Nancy Poinsatte, our Volunteer of the Year winner.  Through Nancy's successful efforts in securing grants and other donations, the school will begin construction on June 1st for the new Middle School Science labs.  Thank you to Chris Bolding & Judy Curtis, our Membership Chairs, for coordinating the breakfast.

We appreciate the efforts of all of our volunteers, and congratulate again all the Volunteer of the Month winners, listed below:

September:  Mary & Bill Sladek, GAP Campaign chairs
October: Kathy Dougherty & Tricia Tobolka, Autumnfest Chairs
