THEME FOR NEXT WEEK:  Halloween/Pumpkins

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK:

• 4’s –  Luke Madden
• 3’s –  Elle Barry

WHAT WE'LL BE DOING NEXT WEEK:

• We have a variety of Halloween books to read, some fingerplays and art.  We will make a class book on what character we will be for Halloween.  It should be ready at the Parent/teacher conferences.

NEWS & NOTES:

• PLEASE bring a small or medium pumpkin to school on Monday or Tuesday
   
• Dress-down for Autumnfest for the 4’s is October 24th which is the same day as preschool pictures – so the students need to wear their uniform to school for pictures, but may bring a fall color or Autumnfest t-shirt to change into after pictures.
   
• Dress-down (no uniform) for Autumnfest for 3’s is October 25th.  The students may wear their Autumnfest tshirts or fall colors.
  
• Preschool pictures (wear uniform).
• October 23th  for the 3’s
• October 24th  for the 4’s
   
•  Parent/Teacher Conferences
    
• Thursday, October 25th for the parents of the 3’s
  We will have school on Thursday. Mrs. Guilbeau and a substitute will take care of my class while I’m in conferences
    
• Friday, October 26th for the parents of the 4’s.  
  There is NO SCHOOL (just conferences for parents)
   
  There will be a schedule in the classroom and during carpool for you to sign up. I will send a copy of the schedule home just before the conferences.
   

All Saints Day Parade: 

We will have an All Saints Day Parade on

• Thursday, November 1st for the 3’s
• Friday, November 2nd for the 4’s. 
   
  We will be talking about saints the whole week.  Please help your child choose a saint to dress up as for the parade.  It can be any saint – maybe your childs name if it’s a saint’s name.  I am sending home a copy of a simple pattern for a costume – the simpler the better.  Please come for the parade.
