MARCH 2008
Dear Parents,
March is here, and as we look back to February we want to express our thanks for the wonderful St. Valentine’s Day celebrations: For candy and flowers and beautiful cards, and especially for our fun parties, we teachers and staff are very grateful.
MARCH ACTIVITIES
From St. Patrick’s to St. Joseph’s Day, March is going to be a busy month. Here are a few of our activities:
DOUGHNUTS WITH DAD
On Tuesday, March 11, we will honor St. Joseph, the Patron Saint of all fathers. All dads are invited to attend 8:00 Mass and to return to the classroom for doughnuts, juice, coffee and activities with the children. Please be here by 7:45, so that we can walk over to the Church and sit together. If Dad can’t come, please send a substitute uncle, grandfather, or friend for him.
EGG HUNT & PIZZA PICNIC
When one of our fathers volunteered to provide a pizza lunch for one of the classes, we decided to combine it with an Easter Egg Hunt and have a Pizza Picnic afterward for both DK’s. The date is Friday, March 14, the last day before our Spring Break. More details will follow.
PHONICS
We are looking for volunteers to help our children with phonics. Our tentative times are Tuesdays (after Mass 9:00 – 9:30) and another morning of the week, to be determined. If you can help at any of these times, please let your teacher know.
SPRING BREAK
The week of March 17 – March 21 is our Spring/Easter Break, and Monday, March 24, is an “inclement weather day”, which if not used for bad weather will be added to our break.
NO SCHOOL ON MARCH 28
On that Friday, our school will be closed in order to host a PSIA competition.
MASS ON TUESDAY
As usual, we will attend Mass on Tuesday, and we always need parents to help.
Have a great week and thanks for all that you do for us.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Seltzer and Mrs. Arraj

The DK Staff
