December 18, 2009
Dear Parents,
Thank you very much for your generous donations to the annual Teachers' Purse Collection. Your thoughtful contributions made it possible for the PTO to gift every faculty and staff member with a Christmas bonus. We are all most grateful and appreciative of your generosity.
The second quarter ends today, Friday, December 18. Quarter grades will be finalized and report cards prepared the first week of January, 2010. Students will have two weeks of vacation to rest and enjoy the Christmas season.
Please take time over the break to notice if your child's school uniform needs alteration. Pay particular attention to the length of your daughter's skirt and let the hem down if it is more than an inch above the knee. A uniform check will be performed by all homeroom teachers the first week after the Christmas break.
The eighth grade students will be taking the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) in January. They will be completing their preparation for the exam over the next few weeks. Please remember them in your prayers.
Many of you attended the Christmas musical programs for grades K-5. The children performed exceptionally well. Their voices filled the church with songs of peace and joy. Ms. Kim and Mrs. Willis must be congratulated for providing all of us with the opportunity to once again reflect upon the birth of Jesus and how His becoming man changed the world.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of St. Monica School, I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Joyfully,
Patricia Dulac
