St. Monica Catholic School

Faith. Involvement. Integrity. Respect. These are the core values that define the St. Monica experience, and they are the same values we strive to instill in each of our students. From the cultural diversity of our student body to the quality of our programs, St. Monica provides a strong foundation for learning.

  • A Course of Excellence

As a Blue Ribbon School, St. Monica offers a challenging, comprehensive curriculum. Our students consistently score well above national norms on standardized tests, a fact that speaks volumes about the breadth and depth of instruction here. An education at St. Monica is designed to prepare graduates for Catholic high schools or college prep schools. In fact, on average, more than 90 percent of our graduates go on to attend college prep schools.

  • The St. Monica Standard

Placement test results, past school performance, and a demonstrated ability to succeed at St. Monica are all important considerations in the evaluation of prospective students. Admission to St. Monica is open to qualified students of all denominations, races and nationalities.

  • Lessons of Faith

At St. Monica, faith is our foundation. Students participate in daily prayer services and religion classes, as well as weekly, monthly, and season liturgies and periodic spiritual retreats.

  • Leading-Edge Learning

Because technology is such an integral part of our lives, it is also an essential part of the educational experience at St. Monica. Our students have access to state-of-the-art computer labs and computer research rooms, with high-speed Internet access to facilitate online fact-finding.

  • Involvement Beyond Academics

Whatever a student's interests may be, St. Monica offers a variety of extracurricular activities to encourage involvement.

Our athletics program is among the strongest in the area, and we have received the Diocesan All-School Sports Award multiple times. Team sports for grades 5-8 include volleyball, football, basketball, track and field, baseball, softball, golf, swimming, cheerleading and dance team. St. Monica also offers special interest activities for students at various grade levels that may include band, choir, theater, scouting, chess club, yearbook, extracurricular art classes and more.

  • Strength in Community

St. Monica is more than a place for students to learn - it's a caring community of parents, students, teachers, staff and administrators who genuinely enjoy working together toward a common goal. We encourage parents to get involved in their child's education and activities through our active Parent-Teacher Organization and our popular Dads' Club.

  • A Parish School.... Serving the Metroplex

Located at Walnut Hill and Midway Road, St. Monica is convenient to most neighborhoods in North Dallas. We also serve families throughout the Metroplex who value the excellent educational environment that St. Monica has to offer your child.

  • A Proud Tradition

St. Monica is a school, a parish, a community and an extended family. Many of our teachers have been with us for a decade or more, and many of our alumni now have children or grandchildren who attend school here - both testaments to the lasting tradition of academic excellence that began here in 1955. Over the years, St. Monica has served as a model for countless other schools, delivering a "whole child" parish school education in a respectful, challenging, and safe environment. As you prepare to select the school that's best for your child, we at St. Monica encourage your to choose our time-tested learning environment, which will continue to shape your child's education and character well after graduation.
