Blue Ribbon School
U.S. Secretary of Education, Rod Paige, announced St. Monica Catholic School as a winner of the 2002-2003 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School on Tuesday, September 17, 2003. St. Monica was one of 214 schools awarded this honor in 2003.
The Blue Ribbon award signified St. Monica's standardized test scores were in the top 10% of the nation for five consecutive years. The application reviewed all demographic and ethnic statistics, retention of faculty and students, school size and innovative programs.
