SCRIP

What is Scrip?

Scrip is a gift card program. Families generate profit revenue through purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys and gasoline can be purchased with Scrip gift cards. The profits generated from Scrip sales help lower St Monica School tuition. 
    
Every St. Monica family is expected to buy Scrip and generate $200 in profit OR pay a $200 assessment fee. St. Monica does not have students collect box tops or sell candy, wrapping paper, etc.
  

Why should I buy Scrip?

1. Scrip is a smart way to save your family the $200 obligatory fee
2. Scrip helps lower St. Monica tuition
3. 50% of the profit over $200 can be applied to next year's school tuition
  

How does my family generate $200 in profit from gift cards? 

The St. Monica Scrip program purchases gift cards from merchants at a discount. Discounts range from 1% - 20%. Family profits are based on these discounts. 

For example, if you buy Chili's $25 gift card with an 11% discount, you earn $2.75 towards your $200.  

Have you made your commitment yet?

The Scrip Assessment Fee for the school year is $200. The School Advisory Council requires that each family read and sign the Annual Participation Agreement. Families may choose to either pay the $200 obligatory fee or participate in the Scrip Program.
 

How do I know how much profit my family has generated from buying Scrip cards?

At the end of each month, a Family Profit Summary is posted on the website indicating the profit each family has compiled with the purchase of Scrip gift cards. Each family has a unique 'family number' identifying their total Scrip purchases and % profits to date.
    

Should families purchase SCRIP if they opted to pay the $200 obligatoray fee? Or if they have already met their $200 profit?

You bet! Remember, the School Advisory Council uses all profits generated from SCRIP to reduce tuition.

After you have met your $200 fee - 50% of the profits above the $200 can be applied to next year's school tuition!  And there is no limit!
