Admissions Criteria / Priority

PreSchool - starting 2017-2018 
  • 4's class - must be 4 by September 1 and potty trained
    • We will offer the following:
      • Morning 4 year old class
      • Afternoon 4 year old class
      • Full day 4 year old class
  • Developmental Kindergarten - must be 5 by December 31 
  • Placement is contingent upon an interview / screening process
Prospective students shall receive priority in the admission process using the following guidelines: 
  • Sibling of current St. Monica student
  • St. Monica Parishioner - child must be baptized Catholic
  • Baptized Catholic, Non Parishioner
  • Non Catholic
  • Date of Application Completion
 
Waiting list - Applicants placed on the waiting list will be admitted based on availability and the criteria listed above.

Kindergarten through 8th Grade:
Students are admitted to St. Monica School based upon the following  criteria:
  • Screening/Placement Test*
  • Academic Readiness/Preparedness 
  • Previous Academic Performance
  • Conduct and Behavior
  • Attendance
  • Kindergarten candidates must be 5 years old by September 1
  • 1st Grade candidates must be 6 years old by September 1
After academic eligibility is confirmed, admission of new students to St. Monica School is determined by the Principal. Prospective students shall receive priority in the admission process using the following guidelines:

 *Screening/Placement Testing - St. Monica School requires all prospective students to take a screening/placement test for academic preparedness/readiness.
